No, that would be a horrible reason to have your kid cut. Fact is though circumcision goes back thousands of years in places like africa and egypt, Jews have been doing it consistently since then. Ok for those of you on here commenting on the cut vs uncut debate here's a few facts. #1 circumcision does help keep disease down. If you are "natural" you have to be more careful about making sure you clean when you shower etc #2 circumsision is also became more common with the increasing rise in anal sex and such because the skin could easily get ripped in such a situation. #3 The practice is horible, but doing it to your kid is much better than waiting till later. The pain is almost beyond imagining, but if done as an infant the memory of that pain fades. If the parents think the child will at a later date wish to be circumsised then having him cut as a child is best #4 Circumsision was insituted with the Jew's as a commandment, As with most commandments there are obviously benefits healthwise to this practice. some people today continue the practice because they feel it is a request from God, though Jesus later said this outward sign was no longer needed as baptism had taken it's place. That's a long explination but there are a few of the reasons for circumsision.
