@ 32- we dont get secret shoppers anymore, a "snapshot" as it was called. we now do the customer survey which prints out randomly with their receipt. i personally would rather have the secret shoppers back, as customers dont know what exactly what we're looking for.

@42- I don't know what kind of Starbucks you work in, but at the one I work at (inside a Safeway) we still get secret shoppers in addition to that new survey. The secret shopper knows what you are supposed to do, and the surveys are more for seeing the customer perspective of your job.

OP, I say FYL if your manager really made that big a fuss. I work the opening shift (5am) all the time, so I yawn quite a bit, especially when I first get there and during the last hour if it's an 8 hour day. Yawns happen, it's not like they're entirely controllable.
