Reached my limit

By stuckonrepeat - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - United Kingdom

Today, I received the results of the exams that I re-took in order to improve my grades. I got exactly the same grades as before in all four exams. Point for point identical. FML

Should have studied harder, you knew what would be on the test the second time around.

Why does everyone assume she's stupid? What if the grade she got was, for example, a really high B, and she only needed a few extra marks to get an A? It's happened to people before; they study really hard for the retake, but because the exam is never the same twice, they still don't quite get the grade they need or want, and coincidentally this person has got the same grade as before? Think before you judge, guys. She's probably gutted as heck for not improving her grade...

This happened to me :( I did my maths, failed it the first time, re-took failed again. And now I have to restart everything from nothing :( FYL OP :( it's seems like something that would happen to me. I understand how hard exams are, and sometimes even studying doesn't help :(

It takes some serious skill to get the exacte same grades. Congratulations xD

At least they grade em . My teachers dont . Theyre way too fukn lazy

Sorry to hear that, mine weren't to good though. That is quite an achievement though to get exactly the same as last time.

Sure, it sucks. I'm not going to say you deserved it. Still, be glad that you had the opportunity to re-take the exams. That happens rarely to never for most students, and I'm sure a lot of us would have liked to be in your shoes while we were going through the education system. Hopefully you've learned by now that your current studying habits aren't working for you. Even if they didn't work out this time, you're lucky to have gotten another lesson in how you can change them without lowering your scores. Study in a better way next time! =P

OP is from the UK, I'm fairly sure everyone has the opportunity to resit exams. The only reason they wouldn't is if the teacher thought they would be better spending their time on upcoming exams.
