Damnit, OP! Don't be a muggle! Where was your wand? On second thought, I understand you were just abiding by the Statue of Secrecy. Damn laws.

First, how can you be "over-obsessed"? Either you're obsessed or you're not. And second, immature? Really? Last I checked there wasn't an age limit on books. I happen to have loved Harry Potter, and I just finished reading the last book of the series with my daughter last night. I also loved The Giving Tree and The Hobbit. Does that make me immature? Get off your high ******* horse. You obviously can't see that you're a judgmental asshole from up there.

Whatever on the "obsessed" thing, it's beside the point. I'm calling it immature, not because you enjoy these books (which are written for kids, as I'm sure you know), but because of how far people seem to take it. You're completely missing my point: it is immature to ended up getting your jaw broken because you're arguing on the subject, and many of the comments I've seen seem to be taking it far too seriously, and yes, I am giving the benefit of the doubt to most of them that they're simply joking.

#27, you are suggesting others on here are taking things too seriously?

OK, I'm not actually sure whether you're being sarcastic or not, but yes, I am.

I believe saying " grow the **** up bitch" was way too harsh. no matter if we agree with their hobbies or not, it wasnt needed

My apologies, and on second thoughts, it probably was - the tone was no reflection on this specific situation, merely my personality - that's just the way I phrase things. Yes, I do understand how that could be used to undermine my original argument. I'm not disagreeing with this particular hobby or fandom at all - if you enjoy it, go for it. What I am saying is getting involved in a "heated fight" is probably taking it too far/too seriously, because really, it's a pretty trivial thing to be fighting over.

I'm presuming the keyword here though is "talks" - these discussions tend to get physical? Because I'm saying that that is where I (personally) draw the line.

I like how DocBastard can say whatever he pleases and the mods never care.

I see what you mean, and I don't think it was entirely fair my comment was moderated.

I just hope you were on the "it's awesome" side, in which case I'm so sorry and you should not have been punched.

What was the arguement about? Btw, I know the subject is Harry Potter, but I'm curious to know what they argued about..

You idiot! How could you let something like that happen? You should have cast Protego on yourself.

so long as someone ended up with a lightening scar

That's why you don't mouth off unless you've got Crabbe and Goyle by your side.

I'd prefer Ron and Hermione. Wanna fight about who's a better sidekick?

Do tell. What exactly was the fight about? Causes for me, it'd make the difference between FYL and YDI.
