Unless your giving him reasons to disbelieve you in the first place? Guess he's caught you out before?
Even if she was giving him reason to doubt her, his actions seem a bit extreme.
Just turn it off in cellular data. :)
You need kick his ass to the road. First ask him what he's hiding form you.
Eh, I'd rather flush the guy and dump the phone...off at the pawn shop for some undisclosed amount of money.
Turn the location off
Go to your nearest airport and hand the phone to someone about to take off for another country :) Let him trace that...!!

Be cautious, as my ex tried that same thing on me. His reasoning for it turned out to be because he was cheating on me, and wanted to make sure I wasn't doing the same! (I wasn't) Enjoy though!
