Red flag

Today, we realized we had a problem with two appliances. Their manuals were in a high cabinet. My husband got down the one for the appliance he was working on, but left the one I needed up too high for me to reach. I got the step stool and said, "OK" as I climbed up. My husband flipped and yelled that I am "disrespectful." FML

Communicate. Did you ask if he could grab your manual too? he could've absent-mindedly grabbed his because that's the one he was focused on. Just communicate instead of passive aggressive bs.

It's disrespectful to do shit for yourself? Disrespectful to make a remark when someone does something like that? You should probably check his behaviour with an abuse advice line. If it's a one off then it's just a bad day. If you find yourself talking and being understood then it's time to seriously rethink your situation.
