Today, my best friend whom I have been in love with for years, called me, proposed, and confessed his love for me. He was at a noisy bar so I asked him to call me back later and we'd discuss it. He called back later, hungover, with no recollection of our conversation whatsoever. FML

Today, I was texting my boyfriend about yesterday, where he told me how much he loved me, and he wishes we lived closer. I asked him if he really meant it. Turns out he was drunk, and had no idea what he was talking about. FML

Today, my boyfriend proposed to me. I said yes. This caused him to panic, excuse himself, then take it back via text message a half hour later, claiming he'd been drunk. We live together. When he comes back home, it's going to be very awkward indeed. FML

Today, I was on the phone with my best guy friend, who I have loved for years. I was talking about school and all of a sudden he said, "I love you." I flipped out saying, "Oh my god, oh my god. I love you too!" He responded with, "What?" He was talking to his mom, who was walking out the door. FML

#39's got the right idea. If he had no recollection, how would he remember that he was supposed to call you back? I bet he remembers, just doesn't want to make a fool of himself. Bring it up somehow. He wouldn't have said it if he didn't mean it.

A little over a month ago my bestfriend/roommate confessed to me while drunk that he loved me and wanted us to date and that the thought of losing me made him almost panicky and sad. As drunk as he was he usually doesn't remember anything, but he remembered that conversation. We had another one sober and got together. So there is hope! I would suggest that you text him as it is less in-his-face and gives him some space and time to come up with what he wants to say. Thats what I did and it worked out well :) Good luck!! I hope you two are able to talk about it and be happy together.
