I thought we lived in 2010 not 1920... Who waits until marriage anymore? Besides, if she tells her hubby she's a virgin and he soon finds out she's not, how long you think that would last? Remove your head from your ass.

xundria, your argument against abstinence before marriage is that it isn't 1920 anymore?I suppose, branching off of that, that you meant we have pretty successful methods of birth control now, as opposed to then. But this isn't really a reason to say, "Oh, this means abstinence is useless now!" As snickerdoodles has said before, people who wait statistically have longer, happier marriages. Do not mistake me as a zealot who condemns anyone who doesn't follow my methods, even though I consider myself religious. I'm perfectly alright with other people having sex whenever they want - it's not my choice to make.

No, it was a general statement pointing out that a lot has changed whereas abstinence was more widely practiced during those times and it is no longer a big deal in today's society. Most people do not wait until marriage, and it's your choice to do so or not. However, my comment was slight sarcasm and at the same time just pointing out the fact that in today's society, girls care a lot less about staying a virgin as do males as well.

Alright then, thanks for explaining a little further. Not to be one of "those people," but I think people are not only less concerned about keeping their virginity, but they tend to be more concerned with losing it.

It's said persons choice to lose it or not. The only issue I have is sleeping around with multiple people. That's not very safe, it's also why we have a high rate of teenage pregnancies, and a high amount of STDs around.
