There needs to be boundaries in the form of threats laid down to deter his idiosyncrasies. Tell him to quit his bullshit and either find a job or you and him separate. Or simply stop the paranoid tantrums. He's a danger to you and himself acting like that where he might cost you his job. Complete prick.
He's actually a genius! The job market is so hot now you can probably make double what your old employer paid, and you don't have to go through the hassle of quitting. They might be sweating about a wrongful termination lawsuit, so they'll be nice to you. If your plan works, he's definitely a keeper!
