Today, and for the past 13 months, I've been living in the States. I've been called a Nazi, asked if we have electricity in Germany, and been made fun of the way I speak with my "German accent", the list goes on. I'm not even German, I'm Danish. FML

Laugh at their ignorance. Or agree with their Nazi joke and let them know they could be next.

I guess, when you moved to America, you did Nazi that coming.

Yeah...I'm American and even I think we're stupid. It's just a simple fact.

Seriously? Please tell me that they have stupid people in other countries, and it's not just the US. I'm so sorry, person from Denmark, who trusted us enough to move here. We're not all stupid, I swear.

I moved to us a while ago and no one has ever made fun of me except my douchebag friends lol and my third month there i even got asked out by a hot chick so not everyones a douche here

Things like this make me embarrassed for my country. I'm American and I have to work at convincing people from other countries that I'm not ignorant like many people here. D: I was homeschooled and I actually studied geography regularly FOR THE PURE ENJOYMENT OF IT.

I've been there. I'm German and spent 3 years in the UK where some fuckwits thought themselves clever and asked me the same things.

Jeg har boet i Danmark sidste år :) men danskenere vil kun gerne at hører om USA og ikke Canada ... :/

were i live " Wis of USA" most of us are German or Polish or both. That's kinda recess to be calling people by there nationality. jee then again there is alot more colored people than there was when i was a kid age 34 now. there's more Africans,Spanish, and the race of people that rap their heads in turbans.

I can't apologize for my whole country -- and trust me, I would -- but I personally am sorry you've had to deal with our ignorance. Coming from a multi-cultural background, I've had similar remarks thrown my way about Germany and India (both of which are where my family members are from). Please know that not all of us think this way, and we aren't all so blatantly rude about another culture.

Don't let those American racists ruin you. Stay strong!

You should have moved to Canada my friend!
