Get some sort of air pump with a tube you can stick inside. Helped me. :)
i work in ortho, dont put anything down your cast. the skin is in a different state, damage to the skin can cause infection bacteria loves sweaty casts . take benadryl or get an ice pack and place it where the cast itches, the cast will get cold and stop the itching. use a bag of frozen veggie the bags dont sweat. the last thing you want is a wet cast, mold grows quick.
Use a hair dryer, especially if it has a cool air function on it, and blow cold air into the cast.
haha..probably caught the pharmacist at a bad time. I work in a pharmacy so questions like yours op are not uncommon...perhaps try a crochet needle? I have seen people use them before for the same reason and the good thing is is that they aren't sharp enough to damage your skin and depending on the kind you get they are long enough to get the job done. hope this helps!!

Wow. I broke my arm and the cast itched like crazy. When they took it off, my arm had pus all over it. It was infected. Why? I was allergic to the cast material.
Today i told a kid to man up, he attempted to tell the manager on me, im the manager, WIN. that kids life could of ben a double FML if he told the manager
If that were true I'd go above your head if you work for a corporation I'd report you there if none of that worked you'd never see a dime of my money ever and I'd tell anyone who would listen why they shouldn't shop there ,
dude I feel your pain. I'm currently in a full arm cast and it sucks dick. my advice is a ruler or paper clip if you unbend it

DON'T push objects down inside a cast to scratch an itchy spot. This activity has a high risk of damaging the skin, a blistered area or a surgical wound and causing an infection.
