OMG I laughed so hard when I read this. I have a parakeet and we always joke about her secretly plotting to kill us in our sleep. BTW birds can be very vicious when they fight so if you introduce new ones, you should never leave them alone together until you know how they react around each other (wait a few weeks at least!). Keep them in their separate cages while you are gone. And especially never leave two different size birds together alone. Even if they are just playing, the difference in size could result in the larger bird being too rough for the smaller bird, and the smaller bird needing to act violently to protect itself.
WTF!!!! :O
BTW OP never said they were in the same cage. More likely both birds were allowed to roam freely around the house/apartment whice she was gone.
it's like the start of a horror movie. the possessed bird starts with the other parrot, to become the only pet in you life, then it eats your friends and family, to become the only living creature in your life, and finally, it eats you. better watch you back OP.
ydi for not doing your research an putting 2 different spices in the same cage. clearly they don't cohabitate well.
something is wrong here cuz there is no way a parakeet can kill a parrot
That, my good sir, is an EX PARROT!
u bought a blue killer parakeet.. FYPL.
thats horrible...

honestly...its two birds that didn't know each other, and you put them in a cage together? You didn't know if they would fight, love each other, etc. and your locking them in a cage together while you are at work for hours and hours.. They most likely fought to figure out who the "big dog" is, and it was a fight to the death...i am sorry your bird died but really, common since says dont do something like that til they aer accustomed to each other.
blue parakeets are evil. mine clawed my green parakeet to death, then perched on its perch with a smug look in its eyes.
