Today, my boss told me that people from work have been complaining about me. Apparently, I'm not doing part of their jobs for them, and the other manager sometimes does. FML

I wonder what the age starts to be once people realize that when you are an adult you don't get babied around and they hold your hand through the whole way

Your always gonna have to deal with douchebags who expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. I'm sorry OP :(

Different ages for different people.

The adult thing to do would be to kill them

And some people I've met are way past the age where they will grow up, but they still haven't

They want it on a silver platter and spoon-fed to them, too.

Not sure if that's an MLP reference or not...

At least your boss told they were complaining and presumably isn't mad. Remember, as long as your boss likes you and you do a good job, it doesn't matter what they think.

Speaking of the boss, why is he not mad that his workers sit around expecting others to do their jobs for them?

They said "part of their jobs", maybe the other manager knows how to do that part the best, or the other manager is just nice. Not really something to get upset over unless the manager does it because the employees just ignore that duty. Relax.

One time that happened to me.. unfortunately it got to me, and I quit. You can work through it, OP!

I feel like this is quite subjective. I mean from OP's point of view they could be being lazy and not need any help, but how do we know that they aren't falling behind through no fault of their own and the other manager helps them out when they need it and OP doesn't notice that need

This. Some managers really don't have much on their plates in terms of daily tasks to complete and should be helping where it's needed. Especially when there's simply too much work. If your boss brought it up to you it means he agrees that you could be doing more with your time.

Exactly. Helping with at least one task helps if their job is overwhelming. Especially if it's seasonal. It gets hectic.

They should be capable of doing their own damn jobs. That's such a childish, immature complaint.

So what if they complain about you? As long as your job is intact, they should be the only ones worried.
