nothing wrong with the child, she's not horrible or anything. she's 5 for god's sake. u've got issues tho. #1: why would u leave something very valuable within reach of children?? #2: why did u not tell ur kids that they're not supposed to play with it? but main thing, put it somewhere safe! ur child is not to be blamed
you should have not left your 12 year old in charge and it shouldn't have been within their reach too.
Oh. My. God.
12 + 5 = YDI
At least now you know your 12-yr-old can't be trusted to watch your 5-yr-old. Keep it in mind for when you drop off the giant economy sized box of rat poison.
I think this is a FML, no way did they deserve it. when I was 12 I babysat all the time. maybe she has a normally responsible kid. on the other hand if you left the ashes there without explaining what they were and that they shouln't be touched, them you deserve it.
why weren't they medically sealed? anytime somebody is cremated, the crematorium has to medically seal them. if your five year old could open them it wasn't done right. you should sue.

Common sense should have been used here: Keep out of reach of children.
That is so awful. Why the hell did you leave something that important where your five-year-old could get at it?? Why was she not informed that this was an absolutely hands-off item? Why was she beaming? There is so much wrong with this. Your poor, poor grandmother. :(
