The sad thing is this kid will remember what happened to her for the rest of her life and not understand ever why this had to happen to her and yet there are parents to be who will be wonderful if people would just give them a chance.

This is just so very sad. At least it seems that the child is lucky to have you there as you seem to at least care about her happiness and wellbeing.
They sound like they're entirely too immature to even think about having kids. F the kid's life, and yours for having to deal with the dicks.
