In case you haven’t already - See a doctor.
I have this problem sometimes. It may be brought on by stress but sometimes food may start a cycle. For example if you have chips on a day that you are susceptible you may start a cycle. The 2 things that worked the best for me is the name brand kanka. It puts a layer over the sore and numbs it. It only lasts a few minutes so make sure you put it on and don't disturb it. It will last longer that way. The other is children's benadryl and liquid malox mixed in a 1 to 1 solution. Just mix enough to use in the moment. Put about a tablespoon of each in a cup and swish and gargle it. The Benadryl will numb your throat and the malox will cover and protect it. Do this a few times a day. Hope this helps. I had 6 at one time during a week long camping trip. It was terrible. Every time I moved my mouth a burst of pain and subsequent adrenaline would rush on. After a few days of that I was so tired.
FYI I got this recipe from a Dr. You should visit one too.
