Today, a little boy called me, crying that "Grandma died" in a broken voice. I just didn't have the heart to say, "Wrong number." FML

That's really sad, but yeah, you actually should have told him because this could cause problems for the person he was meant to tell. Although who gets a young boy to tell that to people?

That's what I'm wondering too. Who did the kid think he was calling? Did OP fake being that person, and if so, how? I would pay good money for a recording or transcript of that conversation.
