Supportive

Today, I called my mother crying, telling her how my husband has apparently been cheating on me for months. To my surprise, she didn't interrupt me or cut me off the whole time. Only when she didn't respond, did I realize she'd hung up a half an hour ago. FML

I'm sorry, no one deserves that, but maybe she had a bad connection or something. I hope so.

Maybe she can chip some ice off of her heart for the martini you'll be sipping later.

I'm sure that your husband will get what's coming to him. As for your mom, the call may have dropped. Hopefully she isn't mean enough hang up.

I hope he's your soon to be ex husband. But that does suck, sorry, OP.

do you want some aloe for the burn?

You are a cruel, vindictive little man. This tomfoolery here is why I hate people. You are just insensitive. Go milk yourself.

That wasn't even funny, if thats what your trying to be.

Keyword: Apparently Consider your next step carefully OP, you have no proof that your husband is cheating on you, maybe you heard the rumor from someone who is jealous and wants to destroy your relationship. Until you have concrete evidence of your husband cheating on you, don't make any rash decisions

I dont see why everyone is thumbing this down like they know everything for sure

Neither of you know the definition of "apparently," do you?

acerredrum 23

Apparent means clearly visible, or understood. If he is apparently cheating on her then she knows it.

RedPillSucks 31

Some people use "Apparently" the same way lawyers use "Allegedly"

Definition for alleged: doubtful; suspect; supposed, to assert without proof. Definition for Apparently: according to appearances, initial evidence, incomplete results, etc.; ostensible rather than actual: He was the apparent winner of the election. Apparently can be used to refer an actual fact, I agree, BUT apparently can also be used in a context where the action that happened is possible, but no other words in the context verify it, like in this FML. So, to all of you who downvoted my original comment, congratulations on showing how inapt (do i need to describe this word for you too?) you are at clearly understanding the context of this FML in relation with the definition of the word "apparently".

I bet your communication breakdown left you dazed and confused, but maybe your heartbreaker made you ramble on a little.

I really hope she had a bad connection or her phone ran out of battery because it would be really messed up if she hung up on you. Talk to her and see what happened before you assume the worse. I am so sorry for this hard time you're going through. Your husband will get what he deserves, and you're much better without such a cruel person.

Your mother is just horrible! I am sorry that your husband and your mother have turned out to be uncaring useless human beings to have in your life. Get rid of the husband. And possibly your mother too. I hope you have a support system around you that can help you during this time. Good luck.

That's terrible and selfish, but how did you not realise she hung up all that time?

Your mother is an insensitive, vindictive, conniving twat. F your life. She should've been sympathetic.

Well thats a bitchy thing for her to do, unless the call got dropped are you sure you didnt get disconnected?

This goes for all the other comments above and below this about her maybe dropping the call, the mom would have called back. Plus most phones have a little noise they make when you loose signal.
