Today, during my shift at work, I started to feel really sick and started throwing up. While I had my head in a bag, I had several customers ask me for directions, and another customer abuse me for my lack of service. FML

Today, because I was the only manager scheduled, I went into work despite feeling sick to my stomach. While sitting down with a customer, I got the urge to throw up and tried to hold it back. Instead I vomited in my mouth, instinctively swallowed and started choking in front of the customer. FML

Today, I got to work feeling slightly unwell. A couple of hours later, an extremely attractive customer came to my till, at which point my body decided it would be a good idea to vomit last night's dinner all over myself and the customer. FML

Today, while at work, I started to feel sick to my stomach, hot, and dizzy. My co-worker told me to go home. On the way through the locker room to get my stuff, I experienced a dizzy spell so severe, I blacked out and pooped myself. No one in the building is going to let me forget this. FML

Today, I was feeling sick but went into my waitressing job because I'd already missed 3 days this week. I was dizzy and managed to spill a tray of drinks all over the customers. Then, when their food was done, I tripped and spilled hot chili all over the man's lap. FML

Today, at work, I felt a sudden, all-too-familiar pain in my stomach. I ran for the restroom, but before I could get there, I shat myself. I had to limp the rest of the way, then beg my boss to let me go home. He said no and told me to get back to work. FML

Today, I joked with my boss about calling in sick to work tomorrow with food poisoning to avoid taking the Sunday shift. Tonight, I'm sitting on the toilet bowl in agonizing pain with combination diarrhea and vomiting. My shift starts in 3 hours. FML

at any point in time, did you think of leaving your desk for the bathroom instead of just sitting there puking into a bag? Most people would think you're able to service them and/or answer their questions if you're still "on duty". I know for sure I'll leave my post if I fell sick like that, come back when I can, tell my boss, and leave for the day. Instead you just sat there so people have a reason to complain about lack of service? Obviously you may have been "clearly puking in a bag", but for all they know you were just eating or something. ANYWAY.YDI

You clearly have no idea how a real work environment operates... There are plenty of companies which have an unwritten 'do not leave your desk or get fired' policy, especially for some specific positions (like the person answering the phone). It is also entirely possible, the vomiting came to fast, so she didn't have time to go to the restroom. In any case, giving something like this a YDI is a clear sign something is wrong with you.
