You must be trying to get into the music business.
That sucks. But at least they didn't make you wait for it. Now you still have time to apply for other internships.
First of all learn to write the resume on your own. The so called professionals have some templates that are ready. And second - why do you believe even if you hand in a perfect resume that you will the one chosen?
Back_In_Action - the OP never said they were actually qualified for the job. Maybe you're the one who should learn to read?
I'm guessing you were talking about the JP Morgan internship that was due the 19th? Well one of my friends received a request for an interview and there are probably two reasons you didn't get it: first of all why would you wait until the last date possible to submit it? Second of all your GPA probably wasn't good enough (although they say minimum 3.2- my friend who got an e-mail asking for a second interview had a 4.0 so that might be part of why you didn't get it).
Are you really so dumb that you think that JP Morgan internships are the only kind of internships that exist?
Having a classy resume and smooth cover letter doesn't make you any more qualified for the job.
Um, please show me where he states that he should have gotten the job based solely on his resume & cover letter. The point of sharing the time and effort he put into his resume/cover letter/references is to portray how much he wanted that particular internship. You don't even know his qualifications, so it seems to me like you're just a bitter person looking for any chance to say something negative, even if you have to make it up.
better luck next time :(

You can dress it up all you want, but in the end, a pile of shit (your resume, cover letter and references) is still a pile of shit.
Never assume you'll get the job. You're just setting yourself up for disappointment.
