Just admit you're wrong, apologize and take your punishment. Marriage is not a court of law. You are guilty until proven..., nope, you are guilty. Case closed!
Women can be a pain. I am one and freely admit this. Buy her her favourite treat and once she's grumpily enjoying it, ask her what the *actual* problem is. If it's pmt, just pamper her, there is no reason when the hormones get involved. If it's something resolvable then help her untangle it. There's usually a reason why normally level headed women pick at things. It's just that sometimes the reason is mother nature or seems silly so we cover it with something we feel is less silly. It could simply be that *you* feel the argument was resolved but she still has a couple of outstanding issues from it. Whatever her reason, Chocolate and foot rubs are both your friend and weapon here. It's very hard to be picky or grumpy with someone who is deliberately making you feel better. Give her some love, put your dirty washing IN the laundry basket and figure it out when she's just pouting about things. We're really not complicated creatures.
