The tourist

Today, I toured an art museum. Our tour guide had an obvious lisp, so I tried my best not to laugh. When she asked me a question about a sculpture, I accidentally replied, "Yeth ma'am." She ended the tour right there. FML

Well, that's what happens when you laugh at people with problems. Are you 10?

And the FML here is that you didn't get to go on the museum tour? You sound like a 6-year-old who didn't get dessert because you misbehaved. Honestly. How is lisping even that amusing in the first place? And even if it is, try to control yourself and be just a little more sensitive to people with problems. She face up to her minor disability every morning because she has the competencies to do the guided tours, and you ridicule her for it. **** HER life, not yours.

I agree. Anyone with a speech impediment should NOT be touring whats so ever! Personally I think she knew what she was getting into. Especially if it's a place being toured by high schoolers. OP was in the wrong for laughing at him or her, but that's what happens when you're a kid or even someone in college, sadly.

WOW. talk about shallow?? you're really saying someone with a speech impediment shouldn't get a job doing what they love because of the impediment? Youre a retard.

Wow some people are uptight assholes. Haven't you ever just let go and be a careless person? It's really fun. The OP doesn't deserve it. I find this funny as hell.

Haha. first off chill out. Everyone flubs so calm down. Second I personally probably would have laughed too. Not to be rude but to ease the situation. People usually over react when trying NOT to. The OP could have been trying not to bring attention to it but by doing so thats all they could concentrate on and thats why they slipped up. Its life, nothing is going to come off perfecth. ;)

Wow I don't understand the reactions here! Sometimes accidents happen ! I remember once I was listening to somebody speaking with a very strong Portuguese accent. When I answered her, I couldn't stop myself from using it also, don't ask me why. I felt so bad that I had to just go somewhere far away from her. OP FYL indeed, I know you didn't do it on purpose. I think the lady had a reaction way too strong just because you said Yeth instead of yes! Does she do that all the time ? Stop a tour when she feels someone might have mocked her ? How does she still have a job ?

Theriously guyth this ithn't hilariouth at all.

Apparently 90% of the FML population are perfect and have never ever made a mistake before.

I can actually see how op could have accidentally done it. I pick up on accents easily, after maybe an hour around someone with an accent I will start talking in that accent myself without even realizing it. it's weird. but something like that could have happened. I feel bad for that poor girl with the lisp, yes, but I also feel bad for op IF it truly was an accident, which I do actually believe!
