These people are the worst

Today, my brother wore a T-shirt to my birthday party that said "I dig skinny chicks". I'm a recovering anorexic and told him that I didn't really like his shirt. His response? "Don't let the liberal media brainwash you into thinking it's OK to be fat." FML

I hope you punched him in the face. He's your brother, so it's alright for siblings to fight. Actually, while you're at it, give him a beating.

To the OP, sometimes family members and people are jerks even if it's harmful to you. It's a really shit situation and shouldn't of had to happen. I wish you all the best in your continuing recovery.

I don't understand how anyone is even clicking the "you deserved it" button

It's funny, however inappropriate it is. Congrats on winning the battle, and I wish you continued success

Don't know why everyone is telling OP to not get offended by "someone's shirt." It's her BROTHER. He knows what she's been through and should know better. He's upset her on purpose, and on her birthday :/

People like him are what bring this society down.

that was beyond rude & thoughtless. shame on him for being insensitive to your plight. its never over, just less active. I'm a former anorexic (3 years active, 10 years recovering) and the negativity surrounding it is so tough. hang in there OP

Does he know about your recent anorexia problem?
