Lets just hope he doesn't hold a grudge.. otherwise you will find yourself being repeatedly turned down for promotions.... Though if he is a bit of a sleaze then record everything as it could be a nice case of sexual harrasment for HR to look into. ;)

She doesn't necessarily have to be polite if he was saying it repeatedly. If you keep harassing a person, that might merit some rudeness. But if he holds a grudge, he's unprofessional.

Yikes. And if you had to turn him down repeatedly, well, he can't be all that bright. At least you've set the right precedent in that he knows you're not game for fooling around with him. Hopefully he'll be professional about work.
