I am a big animal lover. To the point that if I see news stories about a child being bitten by a dog or someone attacked by an animal the only reason I read it is because I want to know what happened to the animal. "Oh no, a little girl was bit by a dog! I hope they didn't put it down..." And yet, I still think your situation sucks. Hopefully you can find a way to peacefully resolve the problem.
