I agree with just trimming out the gum, but to those who are asking him to shave? Most guys don't shave their pubes and to be honest I prefer guys who are very neatly trimmed. As for smelling sweat, if he is clean then that is not a problem. Pubic hair doesnt equal poor hygiene. Although I don't think the same goes for girls, thsy should be clean shaven. It just looks better.
