Time flies, huh?

Today, I got fired from a large oil and energy service company after 5 and 1/2 months. The interview process to land the job took 8 months. My interview process was longer than my job. FML

Even Google's hiring process isn't that long (well not for senior management), and you have to go for like 15 interviews with them before they will offer you a role... I find this FML really hard to believe unless you were really good at the interviews but extremely crap at your job

#12, some places do take that long.. The gov't hiring process is at least 8 months long, so totally believable. Also, OP, no sympathy for you getting fired. Like #2 said, being fired means you ****** up soooo a big fat YDI on that one..

hahahahaahahaha But seriously that sucks.... If it was 8 months why didn't you just get a different job instead of waiting 2/3 a year. I mean you can get a job at like M.c. Donald's in a matter of hours.

I feel for you....took me 2 years to land my first job. Lasted only 5 months. Got let go during the holidays.
