Timing is everything

Today, I finally plucked up the courage to propose to my girlfriend of 7 months. I took her out to the park where we had our first kiss, I got down on one knee, and before I could say, "Will you marry me?" a bird shat on my head. FML

Dont you think 7 months is alittle early?

Wish people could accept a proposal under a year of dating as easy as you :)

I think it's different when you're older. sure if you're in your teens and early 20's; 7 months may not be very long. But if you're in your 30's and on, I think 7 months isn't too bad

That is literally the universe telling you it's not right.

7 months, proposal? No, just no, don't, never. I did it twice, neither worked out and both break-ups were that much worse because of the engagement. Hopefully I've learned to a) not being pressured into proposing and b) not agreeing to a proposal within at least 2 years. Both are signs of batshit, as far as my experience goes.

No that was just you . He isn't you and if you didn't have a working proposal or relationship it doesn't mean it won't work with other people

This person shouldn't have to wait years to propose . If he is In live and they turn out to last a long time then being married was a good choice but their is no time limit.
