'Tis the season to be jolly, falalala lala la la

By Anonymous - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, my mom hung her new "Christmas Clock" on the wall. It plays a different Christmas carol every hour, on the hour. It's only December 2nd and I'm already starting to understand why suicide rates sky rocket this time of year. FML

Easy; take piece of shit off wall. Set time (all clocks are a wee bit off). 'Accidentally' drop clock on floor. Hit clock with hammer or baseball bat. Voila! Quiet

Hey at least you don't have to listen to the same Michael McDonald dvd for two years listening to the same damn songs. Anybody know where this joke comes from I'll give them a pat on the back...

It's from The 40 year-old virgin. However you were beaten to it by #26

Also, it's never a good idea to do these quote games online, as there is Google.

Ugh. Ignore this. I read a comment incorrectly.

Your mom is obviously trying to help you build tolerance to this lovely genre of tones and melodies.

Sometimes, I wish Christmas songs didn't exist. It serves to irritate most people, doesn't it? Curse you, jolly season!

I feel for you OP; my mom has been playing Elvis Presley Christmas since Thanksgiving.

Those clocks usually have and on/off switch for that.

actually, the suicide thing is a myth! check it out on snopes. but seriously, destroy that clock.

haha, sorry to be a party pooper! I just thought it was interesting

It is actually true for retail workers and single fathers, just not for the population at large. My brain holds useless facts like a sponge.

same! my friends won't watch movies with me because I always have to pause it and give a stupid fact.

It's actually true due to something called seasonal affective disorder.
