Today, a bee flew into my classroom and landed on my cheek. Not only am I allergic to these things, I was hit in the face with a textbook to "make sure it's dead." FML

Thankfully I wasn't stung, and I do appreciate on the long run them hitting me with a textbook. It could've been a lot worse than a headache.

I think I'd take a textbook to the face than a allergic reaction anyday.

32, what did this plant ever do to you?

The real question is, did it die?

What if it just wanted a kiss and it got viciously murdered?

Next time just stay calm remain still the bee will eventually fly off without stinging you. I'm allergic to them too and unfortunately am a bee magnet, they land on me and crawl all over my skin, but if you don't freak and the people around you remain calm then you don't get stung.

I know some of my textbooks could probably knock you out

If you annoy a bee he will sting. He might of stung when he saw the text book coming or if he surivived the hit. Next time stay calm and wait for him to buzz off, that is a safer way and does not leave a red mark on your face from a textbook.

Why is EVERYBODY's reaction to an insect or small animal entering the house to scream like a mental patient and instantly try to kill it? If you don't make it feel like it has to defend itself from a hysterical human tornado, chances are it'll move and eventually leave. I've seen a lot of people being stung by bees or wasps because they couldn't leave them alone and continued chasing them with whatever was handy, but I've never seen one just sit down on an unassuming party and sting them for the hell of it. If your textbook wielding friend had just injured the bee instead of killing it instantly, you'd be posting this from a hospital bed right now.

One chilly autumn day a bee crawled from my flower scented hair down the front of my dress. I didn't panic and I didn't get stung. I agree. Usually I just let whatever critter it is outside.

Ooo bet that hurt. At least you didn't get stung cause that would've sucked more than getting smacked by a textbook.

Wait, since when do bees sting unless provoked?

I don't know about bees, but I've been stung on my toe by a wasp when I wasn't even moving. I was quietly lying on my trampoline and napping in the sun, when I started feeling something stinging and aching on my foot. I looked down to see a wasp flying away and my toe turning red and swelling.
