Today, a cop rear-ended me. Then I received a ticket from him for driving too far under the speed limit. We were in a school zone. FML

umm can't you dispute this in court? In most cases, the person rear ending you is at fault because they were either a) driving too close and/or b) not paying attention. You could've stopped for any number of legitimate reasons. Sadly this is just another case of a cop abusing his power so he doesn't get reprimanded. Get a lawyer fast OP.

OP, fight the ticket. First off, one can not be driving too slow unless there is a posted minimum. The ticket has the time and place on it, so go to the where the wreck occurred and take pictures of where it is a school zone. If he shows up, put the cop on the stand and have him recount where and what happened and what his speed was. Ask him if he was in a school zone. He either will have to admit he was speeding or he will have to purger himself.

there doesn't need to be a posted min. don't give advise if you are just pulling stuff out of thin air.

Payback is a mothafucker ain't it

I might be mistaken but I believe that the police dash cams only turn on when they turn their sirens on.

was school starting or being let out?

you can ask for the footage from the car of the officer. if he charged you for driving too slowly, he is still at fault for inattentive driving... he probably dropped his donut, went to grab it, and lost site of the road.

show that in court...they will LAUGH
