Take it to court, this was the fault of the officer and you should not be penalized for his stupidity.
sue... he will get fired no law of such in a school zone
My dad is a retired cop and he agreed the officer was at fault. As was said before, i would contest this. And if anything, police should ENCOURAGE you to go under the speed limit in a school zone.
dont cha just hate how cops can do anythibg the ****** want abd get away with it... its like they could tell you bend over and let me shove it in or im writing you up a ticket
take it to court. It is his fault since he rear ended you.
So sue the police department.
Why do people keep saying that? There is no reason for the OP to sue the Police Department. The department is not at fault for what this one idiot did. If the OP was going to sue anyone it should be the cop who rear-ended her. He is the one who screwed up, not the entire department.
we all know that cop was just in a rush to get some donuts =D
Report the cop! The cop is not above the law and must abide by the same laws we do. He should be fired and you should be the one to do it

umm can't you dispute this in court? In most cases, the person rear ending you is at fault because they were either a) driving too close and/or b) not paying attention. You could've stopped for any number of legitimate reasons. Sadly this is just another case of a cop abusing his power so he doesn't get reprimanded. Get a lawyer fast OP.
Pigs.
