Today, a cop rear-ended me. Then I received a ticket from him for driving too far under the speed limit. We were in a school zone. FML

umm can't you dispute this in court? In most cases, the person rear ending you is at fault because they were either a) driving too close and/or b) not paying attention. You could've stopped for any number of legitimate reasons. Sadly this is just another case of a cop abusing his power so he doesn't get reprimanded. Get a lawyer fast OP.

The proof is given in this post and several others that you have made. Also, while crisco5105 comment may have been a bit rude to old people, he/she does have a point because more often than not the person doing 30mph in a 50mph zone is above the age of 60. It dangerously disrupts the flow of traffic and is just plain annoying. If they can't handle driving at or at least near the speed limit for reasons related to age, they shouldn't be allowed to drive any more.

Just paying the ticket is the easy way out. I know a lot of people are intimidated by cops and the law, but we as citizens have to stand up for ourselves. I am sick and tired of seeing cops get away with shit! Like speeding, talking on their cell phone while driving, giving out tickets when THEY are at fault! I hope you fight this.
