What kind of advice is that? Let a total stranger dictate your decision to get appearance altering surgery, or cheat your parents out of thousands of dollars if you like your face the way it is?

#22, the "stranger" is pointing out the OP's deformity objectively. Everyone sees it, but those close to her are too afraid to mention it to her. Some people can make their "differences" work for them, but for others, they are handicaps and can be fixed.

A crooked nose is hardly a handicap. Save that label for people with missing arms and legs. And so what if her nose is crooked? Who says that makes it ugly, anyway?

#28, the guys who are not asking her out because her nose freaks them out. That's who says it's ugly. Handicaps come in all degrees.

Where exactly in this FML did you read that guys avoid her because of her ugly nose? One rude person made a comment about it; that doesn't mean the entire world secretly hates her nose. You're shallow.

Perdix, you are the biggest asshole on this site. OP, please ignore him. He's being just as much of a douche right now as the lady who insulted you in the first place. There are some very nice comments posted above though. Flaws are what make everybody different and unique. #30, because I can read between the lines. The lady's comment wouidn't have been an FML if she were getting all the action she could handle. Btw, the world is shallow. #31, no, you are the asshole. Polite lies are worse than the ugly truth. Some flaws make some people unique and different, but others are freaks because of theirs. For anyone on this thread who says a crooked nose isn't a handicap; let me tell you why that's complete bull shit. I can't smell out of mine or breath properly. Seriously breathing only through my nose gives me an oxygen level of 87. It can create medical conditions if OP. Had the funds why not change it?

#32: I agree with your lies vs truth statement. But somehow I just don't see how one random lady's comment is really concrete enough evidence to suggest that OP looks like a freak, can't get a date etc. There's also not enough evidence to suggest that the OP has a "beautiful nose" or whatever either. Unless there's some hidden picture that I'm missing, which there's not. My opinion? Embrace your nose for what it is and if you find that you don't like it and would be happier with a different nose then look into making that happen.
