Today, a little girl at work was coloring a picture that said "Best Dad" on it. Wanting to be nice I asked her if she was making it for her dad for father's day. She looked at me with a sad face and said, "I don't have a dad..." FML

Today, at work, a little girl was misbehaving. Her dad told her that she would look like me when she grows up. The little girl look horrified while Daddy laughed and kept reassuring her he was "just kidding." FML

Today, I went into work and noticed one of my fellow colleagues had a large bunch of flowers on her desk. As soon as I saw her, I immediately said, "Happy Birthday!" Everyone went quiet. It wasn't her birthday; her father had died. FML

Today, I asked a coworker what she'd bought her dad for father's day. She said that she got him some flowers, and I laughed because I thought it was a rather feminine gift for a man. I later found out that the flowers were for his grave. FML

Today, I have been teaching my 5 year-old step-daughter how to read and write. She came bounding up to me with a piece of paper and said, "look what I did". It was a letter that said "My dad misses my real mommy, not you". FML

Today, as I was taking my three year-old daughter home from daycare, she asked where her daddy was. I tried to tell her that I was her father, but she answered, "No, not you! My other daddy!" I've got some talking to do tonight. FML

For God's sake it IS an FML because she obviously felt HORRENDOUS! Sure, the little girl was having a tough time, but people don't post here when major personal tragedies happen; people post here when they feel embarassed or ashamed, and the poster of this FML simply felt awful for bringing the topic of fathers up. Why does everyone bitch on this website >_>

Not that big of a deal growing up without a dad, I did, I was fine. Maybe she was making it for her Grandpa or a fatherly figure? FYL depending on her reaction. If she took it well and went back to colouring, then not really a FML. if she started crying and stuff, then maybe a FYL.
