Today, a tarantula joined my stuffed animal collection in its drawer. It, unfortunately, wasn't stuffed. FML

That's it then, there's no other way, you'll just have to burn the house down now.

You didn't find out by trying to cuddle it did you!???!? Uggggggghh.

I have seriously bad arachnophobia so if that were me I probably would've passed out from a massive panic attack and ended up in the hospital. I feel your pain, OP.

Even spiders want cuddle sometimes...

They are actually really timid creatures. At a science exhibit I got to hold one and kiss one. Cute furry little buggers. Although I understand how people find them creepy.

You kissed one?! You must not be afraid of them lol.

Actually, I was. A series of exposure therapy helped me overcome it, lol

I'm scared of some spiders, but not the big ones like tarantulas or the irresistably cute jumping spider. I'm a selective arachnaphobe.

Put it on craigslist: "Pet tarantula for free. Loves to cuddle. Must catch it yourself. Cardboard box for transport can be provided it needed."

See if you can make it go into a shoe box or something and put it outside, far away from your house.

Why do you have a stuffed animal collection?...

It doesn't say how old OP is. She could be a young teenager or she might just like collecting stuffed animals. I still have a stuffed animal collection and I am 24. You going to make fun of me for having them?

Why do you have a negative votes collection?

tarantulas are way cute though! or tasty. fry it in oil and munch away

I think they're beautiful. I'd love a pet tarantula! My housemates won't let me have one

Oh god! Where do you live to find a spider that big in your house??? I probably would have had a heart attack.

OP lives in Texas. There are huge spiders and scorpions there

And snakes, can't forget the snakes

#38, true. Everything is bigger in Texas.
