Today, a very good friend of mine said he had a question to ask me. Jokingly, I threw my arms around his neck and said, "Oh yes, yes, a thousand times yes!" When I sat back down, I saw tears in his eyes, and he said, "You've made me the happiest man alive" as he pulled a small box out of his coat. FML

Today, my boyfriend got on one knee and started talking about how we met. Knowing what was coming, I started tearing up, absolutely sure he was going to propose. Just as I was about to say yes, he quickly stood up and yelled "HAH, JUST KIDDING". FML

This is just sad. People should realize that men and women can RARELY be just platonic friends. Most especially if you are both single. One of them is going to fall for the other, if one of them already didn't start the friendship that way. You should of saw it coming long before this day.

I have plenty of male friends. I don't think the ability to have platonic relationships has anything to do with gender. It's just more common for girls to have friends who are girls and boys to have friends who are boys, but it doesn't mean you can't have the same friendship with someone of the opposite gender, unless you're really desperate and fancy any woman who talks to you.
