Today, a woman came into my work and yelled at me because no one told her the cake she had bought the week before was made of ice cream. She'd hidden it in the cupboard and it melted. I work in Dairy Queen. FML

If it was rock hard I'd defrost it in the microwave too. Softens it up much faster.

I work at one 2 and for some reason people actually think that there is "cake" in our "ice cream cakes" I have had to explain that alot

I once thought that too. Turns out they're only these crunchy things in there that are like smashed up cookie crumbs. Yummy, none the less!(: Btw your job sounds like a great place to work. I hope you're not tired of ice cream because that would be a shame.

Well some ice cream cakes do have both a layer of cake and a layer of ice cream, so that's kind of understandable. But I still don't see the point of getting a cake at an ice cream store if you were expecting just a plain cake.

DQ did have actual cake in it a long time ago. I remember cause the box was turquoise and the all ice cream cakes were in a purple box.

Yeah I work at DQ also and we constantly have to explain to customers that our cakes don't have any real cake in them

first off todays society is a major fail, she needs to be slapped across the head by a skillet. secondly no one has mention this yet did u or whoever slod it to her actually mention to her that it needs to be kept cold. cause almost a lot of people doesn't do there job correctly

It's not anyone's job to remind others to use their common sense. Plus, had someone reminded the customer to keep it in the freezer, she would have probably replied, "Don't you think I know that?! How insulting! I don't like your attitude, let me speak to your manager!" Can't win with morons like that.

okay i work at diary queen and they tell us to make sure to note that cause stupid people like this person, doesnt know it, we have plenty of customers come in and doesnt know it, our boss says to make sure to say it, cause it cant go back on us, if they come in to complain

So since she the person who sold it to her didn't tell her to freeze it because since the woman had to take it out of a freezer to buy it, the employee isn't doing their job correctly? That is a lie. I work at a DQ and we never tell people to make sure and freeze their cakes because they take them out of a freezer to purchase them.
