What is the reason for your sterility? Are you not able to produce any sperm at all or are they just malformed/slow/etc.? Because in the latter case there's still a tiny chance that some make it to the egg once in a while and you wouldn't have the first "miracle children" in history. Also what the others said: just because you're sterile now doesn't mean you've always been (except for some rare anatomical anomalies). Of course I'd still do a test to be sure. But don't say things to your wife you might regret later.

I once dated a guy who's dad had testicular cancer and had to have one ball removed. He was supposed to be sterile, but somehow, they still had an accident child. So it is possible.

Why did you get fertility testing done while your wife was pregnant? Did you already suspect you were not the father?
