Today, after a week of sporting what I thought was a flattering pixie cut, I realised that without my long hair, my body shape closely resembles a snowman's. FML

Length of hair can make people look different. Just like certain type of clothe patters/styles can make people look bigger or smaller.

Honestly, if I look at some chick I'm not gonna say " Damn! That haircut makes you look like a snowman!" If some fat girl was albino with a circular head MAYBE. But just because some girl has short hair it doesn't bring out their inner snowman.

Obviously you don't pay attention to detail if you don't understand where this simile is coming from. People can have quite round faces because of their bone structure or extra weight, it all really depends on the person. If OP hadn't noticed their prominent jaw line or roundness around their face, they may look very bad with a pixie cut.

I disagree.. look at Halle Berry, or Demi Moore when she had short hair. They both rocked that hair cut.

Not quite true. A few can pull it off. Google image search pixie cut for examples. But I have never seen a fat chick look good with a pixie cut, I must admit. It just sort of brings out the fat. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it really does.
