I'm not sure if this is a law in all states; but in my state you have 3 days to get out of the lease before they can charge you for early termination. You might lose your deposit. But I think that'd be better than living in a bedbug infested apartment.
I can't help but wonder how bedbugs are able to infest a complex.. i mean, my cousin's bed got infested before, but my room didn't get affected. I thought they are just in the bed..?
Bed bugs are sooo not limited to beds. They can hide in anything that they come into contact with, pretty much. You were totally lucky about not getting infestations everywhere.
A bed bug infestation is better than being homeless.
I beg to differ....
DON'T MOVE IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go insist on getting your deposit back. Freak right out!
Home sweet home
Oo! Oo! Ready? SUE THE LANDLORD!!!!! Sue them for... I dunno... misrepresentation.... or false advertising or something I'm sure you'll think of something. That's the American way.
NOPE. Run.
Now you've got a million little friends waiting to welcome you home :)
That sucks. :( If you have to stay there, try strewing bean leaves on the floor - they should stop the bugs.
Um ya, how will leaves help exactly? Op, unless you want to store your valuables in a secure plastic bin for between two and eighteen months(depending on who you ask), dont move anything in until you get this sorted.
Hope you haven't actually moved in...
