I wish I was paying less than a $1 a litre for petrol. You didn't pay much extra. Where I live I pay $1.60 a litre. No big deal!!
Minimum wage and the cost of living are different EVERYWHERE. Most of the time, they even out. Usually, if you live in an area with a higher cost of living, the minimum wage will be higher and people will make more money on average.
That's why they say, " a little patience goes a long way". But I guess you HAD to fill up so it's kind of not your fault.
