Double ouch! keep your head up op, there's bound to be something better!
ouch. good luck finding another job, might even find a better paying one.
Demand a reference letter, collect as much unemployment as you can while working under the table with some fun odd jobs while looking for your next opportunity, the company pays for unemployment not the Gov or taxes. This is a tuff downer but not something you can't raise above. Heck if the unemployment is good enough, maybe start your own business in what you do - if possible
The company does not pay for your unemployment. Everyone pays employment insurance premiums on every paycheck, we pay for it ourselves
What a bunch of dick heads. I'm sorry! I hope you find a better place that will make you a position to fit yourself!
Talk about getting pissed off AND pissed on. Go in expecting a promotion and leave unemployed.
Been there, OP. Sorry.
Things happen for a reason man, maybe an amazing job is coming your way soon.
That seems a bit silly. There's you, with an actual proven track record. And then there's the other person, who may just be better at interviews than you. Not a very good strategy.
Well they're going to be in an interesting position when they find out this other candidate was actually just padding their resume with BS.
They can't do that get rid of a job and have it still in operation

"What can I say? They just made a better you than you." "I… how ca—" "Anyway, they'll be at your house this Tuesday to move in, so you better be out of there by then. Also, what are your spouse's and kids' names?"
You'd think they'd keep that job and see if he doesn't actually need support. Yet here they are going on a hunch and probably open that position again.
