Today, after many weeks of talking to this guy over the phone for hours on end and establishing that we both had feelings for the other, we met in person. He saw me, got an "emergency text," and hasn't talked to me since. FML

Today, I met a guy online. We talked all night long and hit it off amazingly. He told me he'd never felt that way about anyone else, and I agreed. He sent me a picture and he was gorgeous. I sent him one after he assured me he didn't care what I looked like. I haven't heard from him since. FML

Today, after finally having the guts to confess to a guy I have liked for a year now and him saying he also likes me and then asking me out, I went out of my way and traveled 4 hours to meet him. He didn't show up and never apologized. I never heard anything from him. FML

Today, someone I used to know got in touch with me, after I hadn't heard from him in years. He insisted that we met up as soon as possible, and wanted me to go to his house that afternoon. I spent the afternoon repairing his computer. Since then, no news. FML

Today, I was on the phone to a guy I really like from work. We'd been talking for about 2 minutes, when he said he was getting another call, and put me on hold. I was so excited to be on the phone with him, it took me a whole 15 minutes to realise he had actually just hung up on me. FML

talk is cheap. standard male thing to do is to seduce a woman by pretending to love them so they can get laid. he was shallow and manipulative and you are not what he was looking for physically. look on the bright side, at least you didn't **** him.

You deserved it for placing your faith in a person you met online, especially if he didn't already know what you looked like before you decided to meet up. Internet relationships CAN work, but contrary to what eHarmony wants you to think, Internet relationships that work are the exception, not the rule. Grow up and look in the real world if you want a relationship. The guy was a jerk, but you were an idiot.
