Today, after months of job hunting, I got a call back for a position. I was outside at the time and had no pen or paper available to write the address down. I told the guy to call me back in 5 minutes and he agreed. It's been 3 hours and still no call. FML

Big mistake asking the employer to serve as your personal secretary. You should have offered to return the call to him and not asked him to make yet another call to you, this time on your timeframe. Don't expect to get the job.

If you're not intelligent enough to remember an address for 30 seconds until you can save it as a draft in your phone, then I wouldn't want to hire you either.

rite the info in ur phone notepad or sumthin

When you are inconveniencing someone, it is your responsibility to call THEM back. What you did made it seem like you were inconveniencing the employer. Not good. At the very least, you should have called him back the instant you had your pen and paper. You would have redeemed yourself by showing responsibility and a genuine interest in the job. Now you know. Better luck next time!

and this is why u will remain a jobless loser living with your parents. grow up. everyone should know that you do not ask them to call you back.

Why didn't you just keep him on the phone?

Surely they would have mentioned where they were calling from? don't you know where you applied? call them back. We usually don't realise it but people at work have a lot of other things going on. They don't just sit around chasing you on the phone. But yeah, I wouldn't tell someone who has just called offering work to call back because you don't have a pen/paper to take details.

you dont deserve the job if you cant remember a simple ******* address you stupid ass ************
