You're talking like OP busted her face because she tripped on something. You need to read the FML again - her BROTHER being a total asshat is the problem, not her own clumsiness. How the hell was she supposed to expect that?

It's not really that simple. The agency would have to pay someone to do the photoshopping, and why do that when they can hire someone else who doesn't need it? Once it heals up it probably won't be as hard to cover, but for now, an open cut is probably a deal breaker for poor OP getting this job.

#40, on the one hand, sure. But think of it this way: One's face is a prime asset in a modeling career. If OP were, say, an athlete whose knee was injured by the ice ball, or an aspiring surgeon or electrician or massage therapist or whatever whose hand was damaged by it, would you disparage their reaction? This injury is a setback for a career in which she's already invested a lot.
