Today, after struggling with breastfeeding and trying to build up my milk supply, I was finally able to pump a full 6 oz! I celebrated by immediately spilling it all over my lap. FML

Give it time, OP, and I guarantee you'll turn things around. After a while, you'll be able to control the fat content of the milk and produce 2%, 1%, and then fat free! Eventually, you might even master chocolate milk!

Awe no, that sucks! Hopefully you'll be able to pump more soon and maybe even more!

Uuugh, spilled breastmilk is the worst feeling. Keep it up, though, OP. You're doing a great job!

Been there, done that! 6oz is awesome!! You're doing great!

This is one of those rare occasions where it's ok to cry over spilled milk.

At least now that you have pumped 6oz you'll probably be able to again! I would definitely be crying. I can only ever seem to pump 1.5oz at a time. But my baby seems to be well fed and that is what matters the most. Pumping isn't accurate to your actual milk production. It is only the extra milk that your baby hasn't drank.

I feel your pain! Keep it up, you'll get there!

The only time it's acceptable to cry over spilt milk. Is when it's breast milk. I feel your pain.

Been there done that. BF can really suck and be frustrating. Just give it time and it'll happen (:

Uhg that truly sucks. Don't give up! Drink lots of water and try power pumping (google it). Hope your supply goes up soon!

Can't say I understand why. Is it painful, or time consuming? Or both?

It can be both, pumping is generally quite time consuming and getting 6oz from one session is often difficult especially if you struggle with low supply like op does

I'm crying for you. I rem e over those days. it gets better just stay consistent. I look me four days to even be able to put an oz but after two weeks of pumping every 2 hours I had a surplus in the freezer. If you don't cry over spilt milk you aren't breastfeeding.
