Today, as I left my house, the front door slammed shut behind me, causing an entire roof-length of snow to slide over the edge and land directly on my head. FML

I like how you imply that the door magically slammed itself take some personal responsibility

To all those who are saying doors don't slam themselves I just have to say that on occasion, yes they do. Air pressure changes will cause doors to close harder than they normally would or even to slam without anyone touching them. For example if you have a window open upstairs and one open downstairs plus you have a bedroom door standing open, often if you were to then open another bedroom door, the first one slams shut due to the pressure change in the house.

Weird but true, I myself have witnessed this phenomenon in multiple houses. I don't think such was the case here but I like to avoid blanket statements about things. OP FYL for having that much snow on top of your house, but as I said I suspect YDI for pulling the door hard enough to slam it. (Sorry about the two posts, for some reason it won't let me post long ones)

if doors slam themselves then why don't they stay closed when I'm taking a shower?

because then your stalker wouldn't be able to see you....
