OP here. Yes, my parents are religious. Orthodox Jews. I never thought anything about it, I'm from Central Europe. Things were not this standard. it was always just a "for religion exemption". Now that I understand what the hell is up, I have gotten all the shots I can get as an adult, my arse hurts, my arm hurts, my thigh hurts. But I don't have to worry about whooping cough and polio. So there is that. Also, Chicken Pod as an adult, I was told it could be much worse, I only have some scars. THANKFULLY!!!! :D

I did look it up. Dr. William Thompson claimed that he helped cover up the fact that the MMR vaccine caused a 340% increase in Autism in African Amerian males. However, according to Snopes, that information was omitted from the study, not due to a cover-up, but because of "issues of conflict of interest and the questionable validity of its methods…" Fking anti-vaxxers; using disproven claims to endanger humanity
My son got chicken pox right after his vaccine. I had it as a kid before they made the vaccine. Not really any big deal.
people like that cheese me off
if you are 26 you can go and get vaccinated yourself
Get well, and remember you don't have to be right with a man that doesn't exist. :>
I am sure they are good hearted people, and it's ok to be very religious. It really is. But to use THAT as an excuse for your illness, ALREADY being non vaccers is bad enough...they seem very uneducated and blind to the world. They should not have any type of authority in this world because they are clearly god damn morons and need a wake up call to reality. QUICKLY
Don't blame your parents, you are 26! You could have gotten the vaccine yourself being the adult you are
You're in your 20's, not been vaccinated for pox, and you have them? Please go see a doctor now, I don't think you realize how severe this could be.

Hopefully they're not those idiots that thinks vaccines cause autism or avoid them for stupid religious reasons.... but I wouldn't be surprised. Sounds pretty likely in this case tbh.
It's not chicken pox. It's leprosy. I know. I read the bible. I'm qualified to speak on medical matters.
