Today, at my graduation for my high school GED, my parents said they were getting all my family and my girlfriend together. So we all went out to a steakhouse down the road, everyone ordered steaks. Turns out the 'surprise' was me paying. I only got 50$ grad money, and the bill was 159.98. FML

Rofl a GED is NOT just as hard as high school. A GED is what the public education system hands out to pregnant teenagers and dropouts in order to claim more government benefits. It's depressing that education standards are so low that some loser can take a test and then claim the same degree that I spent years taking AP classes to get.

I would have payed for my girlfreind and me and told everyone else to **** right off.

71 sounds like one of those nerds with no friends that got picked on every day so he ran away from highschool to go to college and sit in his dorm and study all night

HAHAHAHAHAHA #99 IS HILARIOUS!

FYL :( And seriously, not everyone gets a GED because they were high school dropouts, there are plenty of other reasons like they were done with high school and wanted to move on.

106--you're an idiot. The GED exam is a joke, but so is a HS diploma. If you seriously thought getting your diploma was hard work, then you have issues. You may be one of the exceptions by actually taking a rigorous courseload, but do you remember your classmates? the ones that did no work, but showed up anyways? they graduated for showing up. I had a 4.0+ but had to leave due to medical reasons in the beginning of my junior year. I entered college with a GED but had several AP credits anyways. The GED is not just for those who have made mistakes, but those with extreme situations. I'm happy that option is there because it has allowed me to get where I am today. I'm sure once I'm done my patients won't care about my high school status.
